STAINLESS STEEL BUMPERS
The
bumpers are corrosion resistant.
For
routine cleaning, use soap,
ammonia
or
detergent
and
water. Rinse with clean water and :wipe dry.
CAUTION
Do
not
use
any
of
the
following
items
on
stainless
steel bumpers:
carbon
steel
brushes
steel
wool
disc
or
orbital
sanding
equipment
To remove stubborn spots
and
stains, use any cleaner recommended for
stainless steel or a non-chlorine household cleaner.Apply with a damp sponge
or cloth, rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.
To remove hard water spots, wipe the bumper with a cloth dipped
in
vinegar,
rinse with 'clear water.
To remove surface blemishes and restore the original finish:
1.
Use
a medium grit buffing
wheel
such as Bear-Texor Scotch-Brite.
2.
Use a low
RPM
drill motor. Keep the buffing; wheel- running with the
grain
of
the
bumper
materiaL
3.
Use light, even pressure to smoothly feather the blemished area into the
existing finish.
Keep in
mind
the following when cleaning stainless steel:
1.
Al ways rub
in
the direction
of
the grain lines for maximum effectiveness
and to avoid marring the surface.
