NORMAL STARTING PROCEDURE

Shift transmission to NEUTRAL.
2. Tum
ignitiCln
switch to the
ri-ght
(clockwise) to the flIst .
position. The WAIT TO START light on the instrument
panel
wilt
light up. When the-WAIT TO START light goes
out,
tumthe
switchclock.wise to the ST4RT position. When
the engine starts, release the switch.

Ignition Switch·
Note: The WAIT TO
STARTfeature
is necessary for engine
intake
air
preheating. The operating
timing
interval depends
on engine
and
outside
air
temperature. The light will
go
off
sooner
if
the engine is
hot
and/or
the ()utside
air
temperature
is warm.
The engine is equipped with a block heater to aid in cold-weather starting.
Plug-in connections for the engine block heater are located in the electrical
shore cord compartment.
