The hazard and possibility

fire exists in all areas

recreational life-style is no exception. Your motor home is a complex machine

them flammable. But like most hazards,
the possibility
of
fIre
cail:
be minimized,
if
not totally eliminated,
by
recogniz-
ing the danger and practicing common sense safety and maintenance habits.
The fire extinguisher furnished with your motor home is rated for Class B
(diesel fuel, gasolirle, grease, flammable liquids) and Class C (electrical)
fIres
since these are the .most common types
of
fIres in vehicles. Read the
instructions on the
fIre extinguisher. Know where it is located and how and
when to use it
- .
Fire extinguishers are. pr.essurized, mechanical devices. They must
be
handled with care and treated with respect. They, must be maintained
as
outlined in any maintenance instructions provided with the device so they are
ready to operate properly and safely.
Parts or internal chemicals may deterio-
rate in time and need
repla~ement.
Always follow maintenance and recharging
instructions provided
by
the fIre extinguisher manufacturer.
