8.3. Earthing
The device must be earthed in accordance with the rules existing at the place of
installation. The relevant earthing terminals are placed on the housings of the sensor
and the converter.
8.3.1. Protective earth
The protective terminal is located in the switching chamber of the converter housing. Cable
connection is shown in the figure 14.

The sequence of elements in the properly provided connection of the protective earth (order
of elements illustrated in the figure from the top):
1. M5 screw
2. Spring washer M5
3. Tooth washer
acc. to DIN 6797 J-M5
4. Wire terminated with a tip clamped with M5 loop
5. Enclosure
