4.10 Fuel tap
4.11 Choke
Fuel tap 1 is on the left of the fuel tank.
Possible states
The fuel cock supplies fuel from the tank to the carbu-
retor while filtering it also.
The fuel cock has two positions:
// Close: Arrow mark pointing to the down
With the lever in this position, fuel will not flow. Always
return the lever to this position when the engine is not
running.
// Open: Arrow mark pointing to the left
With the lever in this position, fuel flows to the carbure-
tor. Normal riding is done with the lever in this position.
Choke 1 is fitted on the left side of the carburetor.
Activating the choke function frees a drill hole in the
carburetor through which the engine can draw extra
fuel. This results in a richer fuel-air mixture, which is
needed for a cold start.
Possible states:
// Choke function activated
Choke knob is in drawn position. The O-ring is visible
// Choke function deactivated
Choke knob is in drepressed position. The O-ring is not
visible
If the engine is warm, the choke function must
be deactivated.
