12.1 Checking the play of the throttle cable
12.2 Adjusting the play in the throttle cable
• Check the throttle grip for smooth operation.
• Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position.
• Move the throttle grip back-wards and forwards to ascer-
tain play in the throttle cable.
Play in gas throttle cable 3… 5 mm (0.12… 0.2 in)
If the throttle cable play does not meet
specifications:
Adjust the play in the throttle cable. ( .68)
Start the engine and let it idle. Move the handlebar to and fro over the entire steering range. The idle
speed should not change.
If the idle speed changes:
• Adjusting the play in the throttle cable. ( .68)
Danger d’intoxication
Exhaust gases are toxic and inhaling them may result in unconsciousness and death.
Always make sure there is sucient ventilation when running the engine.
Use an eective exhaust extraction system when starting or running the engine in
an enclosed space.
Préparatifs
• Turn the knurled screw on the fuel tap all the way clockwise.
• Remove the fuel tank.
• Check the throttle cable routing. ( .68)
Main work
• Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position.
• Ensure that the throttle cable sleeve is pushed all the way
into adjusting screw 1.
• Loosen nut 2.
• Turn adjusting screw 2 so that there is throttle cable play
at the throttle grip
Play in gas throttle cable 3… 5 mm (0,12… 0,2 in)
• Tighten l’écrou 2.
Finishing work
• Install the fuel tank.
• Check the play of the throttle cable. ( .68)
