10.3 Removing the rear wheel
Preparatory work
Surélever la moto sur un socle réglable.
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand.
Main work
Press the brake caliper onto the brake disc by hand in order
to push back the brake piston.
Make sure when pushing back the brake piston
that you do not press the brake caliper against the
spokes.
Cover the components to protect them against
damage.
• Remove nut 1.
• Remove chain adjuster 2. Withdraw wheel spindle 3 only
enough to allow the rear wheel to be pushed forward.
• Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible.
• Remove the chain from the rear sprocket
Danger of accidents
Damaged brake discs reduce the braking eect.
• Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the brake
disc is not damaged
• Holding the rear wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take
the rear wheel out of the swingarm.
• Remove spacers 4.

Do not operate the foot brake lever when the rear
wheel is removed.
