13.1 Removing the battery
13.2 Installing the battery
Preparations
• Switch o all power consumers and switch o the engine.
Main work
• Disconnect the black negative cable from the battery.
• Remove the protection from the red positive pole and dis-
connect the red positive cable from the battery.
• Remove the fixing elastic and release the battery by the top.
Main work
• Insert the battery into the battery compartment with the termi-
nals facing forward and secure with holding bracket.

Other chassis screws M6 10 Nm (7,4 lbf ft)
• Connect the red positive cable to the battery.
Guideline
Battery pole screw M5 2,5 Nm (1,84 lbf ft)
• Connect the black negative cable to the battery.

Risk of injur
Batteries contain harmful substances
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Keep sparks and open flames away from the batteries.
• Only charge batteries in well-ventilated rooms.
• Maintain a minimum clearance from inflammable materials when charging batteries. Mini-
mum clearance 1 m (3 ft)
• Do not charge deeply discharged batteries if charge is already below the minimum voltage.
