11.7 Installing the lower triple clamp
Préparatifs
• Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand.
• Remove the front wheel. ( .49)
• Remove the fork legs.( .55)
• Remove the start number plate. ( .60)
• Dismount the front fender. ( .60)
Main work
• Remove the fuel tube 1 out of the steering stem
• Loosen the screws 2
• Remove the nut 3, Take out the upper steering head bearing.
• Remove protective ring.
• Remove the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
Main work
• Clean the bearings and sealing parts, check for damage and grease them.
• High viscosity grease
• Put the lower triple clamp in place with the fork tube.
• Fit the upper bearing of the steering head.
• Check that the upper seal of the guide head is positioned correctly.
• Push the protection ring.
Cover the components to protect them against
damage. Do not kink the cables and lines.
