11.14 Installing the front fender
11.15 Removing the shock absorber
• Position the fender with drill holes 1 in the holding lugs on
the start number plate.
• Position the front fender.
• Mount and tighten screws 2.
Guideline
Screw, fender M6 6 Nm (4,4 lbf ft)
Preparatory work
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand.
• Remove nut 1.
• Remove screw 3 lower the rear wheel with the swingarm as
far as possible without blocking the rear wheel.
• Secure the rear wheel in this position.
• Remove screw 4, push splash protector 5 to the side, and
remove the shock absorber.

Main work
• Push splash protector 1 to the side.
• Position the schok absorber with the screw 2
• Raise the swingarm; position the shock absorber
with screw 3.
• Mount nut 4 and tighten fitting.
Danger of accidents
Modifications to the suspension settings can seriously alter the vehicle’s ride behavior.
• Following modifications, ride slowly at first to get the feel of the new ride behavior.
