Unlocking the Apple USB Mouse
The Apple USB mouse can be locked so that the ball cannot
be removed. To lock the mouse, insert a straightened paper
clip into the hole on the inner plastic ring and press down on
the paper clip while you turn the ring clockwise. Turn the
ring a very short distance, until it stops. When the ring clicks
into a position where it is at a slight angle to the rest of the
mouse, the mouse is locked (as shown in the illustration on
the following page).
