is stripped or the message is dropped. The maximum number of messages kept in
memory is 4096. The default size is 16 MB.
EXIF enable, layout EXIF user comment. EXIF metadata is added to the JPG's when
enabled. A user comment will be added if the layout is non-empty. Layout specifiers
are:
#P for the plate
#p for the plate matched in the hit-list
#C for the country
#c for the confidence, (as of version 1.5.2) #q for the confidence in percentage
notation (including % symbol)
#S for the text associated with the plate in the hit list
#D for the date in yyyymmdd format, #d for date and time in the format '<week
day name> <month name> <month day> hour:minute:second year GMT'.
#T for the time in hhmmss format, #m for milliseconds part.
#N for the camera name.
#L for the latency in milliseconds between frame acquisition and the moment the
message is created.
(as of version 1.5.0) BOF(-2) messages are created in case the BOF interface is enabled
and BOF url is set (only http://ipaddress:port/request format supported). BOF feed,
source and camera identifiers must be specified. If no jpg quality factor is specified
quality factor 80 is used for the ANPR image. For the plate cut-out always quality factor
95 is used.
(as of version 1.5.1) result image contrast enhancement: 0=off, 1=gamma correction,
2=histogram equalization. With this option the contrast of the result image can be
enhanced. The recognition is applied on the original image from the sensor.
(as of version 1.5.2) baud rate RS-232 output: set this to the baud-rate for sending
recognition results via RS-232. The maximum is 115200. If set to 0, no results are sent
via RS-232.
(as of version 1.5.2) layout RS-232 output: for specifiers see the EXIF user comment
layout specifiers. If no layout is specified the following comma-separated format is
used:
<plate>,<country>,<confidence>,<onlist>,<latency>,<datetime>[,<latitude>,<longit
ude>].
N.B. Always a \r\n is appended to the message.
(as of version 1.5.2) Bosch Text Data Protol enable: set this to 1 for enabling
communication of textual result data via the Bosch ATM/POS standard. Via the text
layout option the output text format must be configured using the specifiers (see the
EXIF user comment layout specifiers).
5.2. Firmware installation
In case an upgrade package is provided, follow the instructions that are delivered with the
upgrade package. You can check the version information of the current installation by viewing
the information on page “System information” of the web service.
