ITS101 Installation Manual
7.3.3. Dirty number plates
The unit is designed to work in all weather conditions, but external factors can still affect ANPR
capture. In bad weather conditions such as rain or snow, it is possible that road dirt will be
sprayed into the air (from car wheels) and that oncoming vehicles will become dirty. This dirt
on the vehicle license plate can cause poor data capture.
7.3.4. Stop and go violation
If the vehicle passes the camera without coming to a stand-still or approaches the camera too
close, the ITS101 probably misses the license plate. Be sure the vehicle stops at the correct
distance before the camera position.
7.3.5. Latency
Worst case maximum delay before the unit detects the license plate can be 5 s. Typical
detection period is 1 to 1.5 s.
7.4. Further support
When problems occur with the software or hardware, you should contact the ARVOO Support
Department by e-mail. If possible, attach log files to the e-mail. Send the problem description
with log files to support@arvoo.com.
7.4.1. Host information sources
The web service page 'System information' provides version information of the running
firmware. It lists temperature and various current information.
The page 'Syslog' shows the Linux operating system log, e.g. regarding the system boot.
The page 'Applog' shows application specific log information, e.g. regarding the start of the
ANPR application and about socket connections.
