Prior to starting
Warning
A damaged or defective battery may smoke
or catch on fire and cause life-threatening
injuries or major damage to property.
Do not use or charge a damaged or de-
fective battery.
Dispose of a damaged or defective bat-
tery immediately in accordance with local
regulations.
Follow the instructions in the chapters
“Safe handling of the battery” and “Safe
handling of the charger“.
Notes on the use of the battery
We recommend using 2 batteries with the
same capacity and state of charge, fully
charged if possible.
Use batteries with 7.5 Ah or mor capacity.
When using only one battery or batteries with
less than 7.5 Ah capacity, 80 % of the engine
power is available.
Use the backpack battery only in combination
with 2 batteries.
Checking the battery’s charging
status
A B
Press button(A) on the battery. The LEDs(B)
light up for approx. 10seconds and indicate
the battery’s charging status.
LED Battery capacity
5 LEDs light up green 80% - 100%
4 LEDs light up green 60% - 80%
3 LEDs light up green 40% - 60%
2 LEDs light up green 20% - 40%
1 LED lights up green 10% - 20%
1 LED flashes red less than 10 %
5 LEDs flash red The battery is empty
and must be charged
5 LEDs light up red The battery is too hot,
let the battery cool
down.
Automatic self-maintenance:
When 5 LEDs alternately light up red for 10
seconds and are off for 10 seconds or 5 LEDs
flash green every 2 seconds, the battery is per-
forming automatic self-maintenance.
