Installing an expansion card to the riser card bracket
You need to remove the bracket if you want to install PCI Express x8 or x16 expansion cards.
ToinstallaPCIExpressx8orx16card:
2. Placetherisercardbracketonaat
andstablesurface,thenremovethe
screw from the slot bay.
1. Firmlyholdtherisercardbracket,
then pull it up to detach it from
the PCI Express x16 slot on the
motherboard.
5. Install the riser card bracket and
PCI Express card assembly back
into the PCI Express x16 slot on the
motherboard.
6. Push the secure lock back and
secure it with a screw.
3. Install a PCI Express x8 or x16 card
to the bracket as shown.
4. Secure the card with a screw.
