Trouble on One Voice Terminal
Step 3.
On both voice terminals, perform the action that first revealed the trouble.
IF
The trouble appears on the voice
terminal that at first had no trou-
ble,
The trouble appears on the voice
terminal on which it first
appeared,
THEN
Trouble found.
It is caused by
the
modular cord
connected to the
voice terminal that now has the
trouble. Replace the cords as they
were and obtain a replacement for
the defective one.
Read the section on Maintenance
Exchange Procedures at the end of
this manual.
Replace the voice terminal cords as
they were.
Go on to Step 4.
Step 4.
Move the voice terminal on which the trouble appeared and its modular
cord to the control unit and connect directly to the Voice Terminals
jack. The number on the Voice Terminals jack that the modular cord is
connected to should be the same as the intercom number.
IF
THEN
The trouble remains,
Go to “Test D: 2-Line/5-Terminal
Expansion Module Test.”
The trouble no longer appears,
Go on to Step 5.
Step 5.
See if you have jumper cords connected to your control unit (see Fig-
ure 16). The jumper cords will also be connected to the jack field (jack
panels or 103A Modular Jacks).
IF
THEN
You have jumper cords connected
Go on to Step 6.
