Trouble on an Accessory
Paging System
Note:
Your paging amplifier must be compatible with the Type II Car-
tridge output of 500- to 700-ohm impedance at 0 to 10 dBm.
Step 1.
Using directions in your paging system manual, test whether your paging
amplifier is operational. If it is, go on to Step 2.
Note:
If a microphone or test signal is not available, momentarily placing
the input leads across a small dry-cell (1.5-volt) should produce a
loud clicking sound at the speaker.
Warning: Unplug the control unit power cord from the ac outlet
before inserting or removing a cartridge.
Step 2.
Make certain that the Type II Cartridge is properly inserted into the con-
trol unit.
Step 3.
Count the number of speakers connected to your paging system.
IF
THEN
Your paging system only uses one
