  If your AT&T Conference System is not making outside calls, a possible cause is faulty telephone company lines. To check this, plug a standard modular telephone into the telephone company wall jack for your incoming line. If you experience the same problem with the standard phone, report the trouble to your local telephone company. Another cause could be that the Outward Calls switches on the control unit are set to No (down). If so, set Outward Calls switches to Yes (up). Finally, ensure that the Tone/Pulse switch on the control unit is set correctly. If you have Touch-Tone service, set the switch to Tone; otherwise, set it to Pulse.

  If the voice terminals on your AT&T Conference System do not ring, first, check the volume control and turn it up. If that doesn't work, the lines may be programmed not to ring, so program line ringing as desired. Finally, the Do Not Disturb feature may be activated. Touch Do Not Disturb to deactivate the feature (the green light goes off). If the buttons on your voice terminal are not labeled, check each programmable button to see if the green light next to it is on; the Do Not Disturb feature should be on one of those buttons. Then, reprogram those buttons.
