Trouble on an Accessory
Step 8.
Perform the action that first revealed the trouble.
IF
THEN
The trouble remains,
The auxiliary power unit is not the
source of the trouble. Go on to
Step 9.
The trouble no longer appears,
Trouble found.
It is caused by
the
auxiliary power unit.
Do not
reconnect the voice terminals and
accessories disconnected in Step 4.
Read the section on Maintenance
Exchange Procedures at the end of
this manual.
Step 9.
Reconnect the voice terminals and accessories you disconnected in Step 4.
Step 10.
Unplug the control unit power cord from the ac outlet and plug it into the
AC Outlet
on the auxiliary power unit.
Step 11.
Plug the auxiliary power unit connector into the control unit socket
labeled Auxiliary Power.
Step 12.
Connect the auxiliary power unit to an ac power source.
Step 13.
Proceed to Test B or Test C for the accessory with trouble.
Voice Terminal Power Supply
Step 1.
Perform this test only if you have an accessory connected to a 34-button
deluxe voice terminal. Make sure the voice terminal power supply is prop-
erly connected to the 103A Modular Jack (it can also be connected to a ter-
minal extension cord) and that power is being supplied from the ac outlet
for the voice terminal power supply. Use a lamp, radio, or similar device
to check the ac outlet (see Figure 38).
