Trouble on More Than One Voice Terminal
Using the standard modular telephone, perform the action that revealed
the trouble.
IF
The trouble is no longer present,
The trouble is still present and you
have only one line extension cord,
The trouble is still present and you
have more than one extension cord,
THEN
Trouble found.
It is caused by
the
modular line cord.
Replace the
cords as they were and obtain a
replacement for the defective cord.

the
line extension cord.
Read the section on Maintenance
Exchange Procedures at the end of
this manual.
Trouble found.
It is caused by
one of the
line extension cords.
To
find out which line extension cord
is defective, replace them one at a
time with a line extension cord
with no trouble. After you have
found the defective cord, return all
cords to their original position.
Obtain a replacement for the
defective cord.

Step 17.
Following Steps A and B below, replace the cords as they were:
A.
Remove the standard modular telephone from the network interface
and replace the modular line cord.
B.
Plug the standard modular telephone cord back into the Type III
Cartridge on the control unit.
Step 18.
See if there is another outside line with trouble.
IF
THEN
There is another,
Repeat Steps 11 and 12 for the
other outside line(s).
There is not another,
Go on to Step 19.
