5.1. TILT SENSOR
The tilt sensor located in the ground control box
constantly measures the machine’s incline.
-NOTE-
This safety mechanism must not guide how
the machine is used. Do not raise the
platform or move with the platform on
inclines, hilly or loose surfaces.
When the structure is in low position, the
light comes on to indicate that the machine's
tilt level is too high for the platform to be
raised.
When the structure is raised, the tilt light
comes on and an alarm is sounded when
the maximum tilt authorised is reached.
The alarm indicates that the machine has
reached its stability limit.
Different movement cutout levels may be configured if the acceptable tilt is exceeded
.
Mode 1(default) :
- Drive movement cutout when the maximum tilt is reached.
- Engine high speed cutout for the structure movements.
Mode 2 :
- Drive movement cutout when the maximum tilt authorised is reached.
- Engine high speed cutout for the structure movements.
- Structure movement speed reduction.
- Telescope extension cutout
- Arm 2 movement and orientation cutout until the telescope is taken back in.
- Combined movements prohibited.
Mode 3 :
- Drive movement cutout when the maximum tilt authorised is reached.
- Engine high speed cutout for the structure movements.
- Structure movement speed reduction.
- Telescope extension cutout
- Arm 1 and 2 elevation cutout.
- Arm 2 lower and orientation cutout until the telescope is taken back in.
- Combined movements prohibited.
Mode 4 (CAUTION, this mode does not correspond to the EC standard):
- No movement cutout.
- Engine high speed cutout for the structure movements.
