In the “read measured values block“ function, select -VAS5051B- in "Guided Fault Finding."
Repeat cooling performance test. Refer to ⇒ “4.2 A/C Unit, Checking Cooling Output“, page 79 .
Pay attention to the display for the A/C compressor regulator valve -N280- actuation and the pressure
in the refrigerant circuit during the cooling output test.
Was the A/C compressor regulator valve activation switched off during the cooling performance test (the
control current was less than 0.50 A)?
yes
no
Check the DTC memory, eliminate
faults displayed and erase the DTC
memory using -VAS5051B- in "Gui‐
ded Fault Finding."
Does the pressure in the refrigerant circuit (the high pressure
sensor -G65- measured value) increase during the cooling out‐
put test?
yes
no
Read the measured value block with
the compressor shut-off condition
and correct the cause of the shut-off
using -VAS5051B- in "Guided Fault
Finding."
Continuation

Bring vehicle to a workshop that has the
necessary tools and in which the work can
be performed accordingly by qualified per‐
sonnel. Refer to⇒ Refrigerant R134a Serv‐
icing; Rep. Gr. 00 ; General Information .
Bring the problems determined to the at‐
tention of the workshop.
Repeat cooling output test.
Continuation of test: “Pressure in refrigerant circuit increases“
Open hood.
Repeat cooling performance test. Refer to ⇒ “4.2 A/C Unit, Checking Cooling Output“, page 79 .
Read the measured values block and the refrigerant circuit pressure display. Refer to -VAS5051B- in
"Guided Fault Finding."
Do radiator fan(s) ( coolant fan -V7- or coolant fan 2 -V177- ) run during the cooling output test (speed
depends on coolant temperature and pressure in refrigerant circuit, it is determined by the engine control
module) or are they switched on as soon as the pressure in the refrigerant circuit climbs to approximately
9 bar?
yes
no
Read the measured values block with the refrig‐
erant circuit pressure and the radiator fan con‐
trol. Refer to -VAS5051B- in "Guided Fault
Finding."
Do the coolant fan(s) run at a high speed when
the pressure in the refrigerant circuit increases?
Check the radiator fan actuation in the “output diag‐
nostic test mode“ using -VAS5051B- in "Guided
Fault Finding."
Repair the radiator fan activation.
Repeat cooling performance test. Refer to
⇒ “4.2 A/C Unit, Checking Cooling Output“,
page 79 .
yes
no
