Installing the Mains Transformer
Installation of the Mains Transformer is next.
Use the rubber strips provided and lay the transformer
down in the orientation shown opposite.
The primaries go towards the back of the chassis and the
secondardies (with more wires) go towards the tang strips.
Feed the wires through the chassis as shown.
You might want a second pair of hands for the mechanical
install – if you are alone you can lie the transformer down.
A tip is to spray some WD40 oil on the grommets on the
secondary and the wires so that the wire will slide easily
through the grommet – look out for twists in the secondary
wires as this may make it more difficult to slide through.
Here you can see the wires have been successfully fed
through the chassis.
