System Director Appliance Front View
The front of the System Director Appliance has a removable bezel (not shown). Removing the bezel allows access
to the drive slots. The System Director Appliance supports two system drives. As shipped from Avid, the system
drives occupy the first two slots (0 and 1). The empty slots are covered with blank plates for proper airflow and
cooling.
Avid NEXIS | PRO Rear View
The rear of the chassis provides access to the Controller and PCMs.
Avid NEXIS | PRO ships with either 2TB SAS drives and one Controller in slot 0 (top slot), or with 4TB SATA
drives and one Controller in the slot 1 (bottom slot).
Avid NEXIS | PRO Controller in Slot 0 (for 2TB SAS Drives)
The 4TB drive version can use one of two types of Controllers, as shown in the following figures:
