4.2 Placing your document
4.2.1 Notice on using the ADF
Before using the ADF, please make sure that your paper meets
the following specifications:
• Document(s) can range in size from 2” x 2” (64 x 64 mm)
to 8,5” x 11.7” (216 x 297 mm).
• Document(s) can range in weight from 9 to 34 lbs (34 ~
127 g/m

)
• Plastic ID cad up to 1.25 mm thick
• Document(s) should be square or rectangular and in good
condition (not fragile or worn).
• Document(s) should be free of curl, wrinkle, tears, wet ink,
or punch holes.
• Document(s) should be free of staples, paper clips, paper
sticky notes.
