8 SAFE OPERATION OF YOUR VEHICLE
8.1 California Proposion 65 Warnings
Operang, servicing, and maintaining a passenger vehicle or off-road vehicle can expose you to
chemicals including engine exhaust, carbon monoxide, phthalates, and lead, which are known
to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproducve harm. To
minimize exposure, avoid breathing exhaust, do not idle the engine except as necessary,
service your vehicle in a well-venlated area, and wear gloves or wash your hands frequently
when servicing your vehicle.

Lead-acid baeries, baery posts, terminals, and related accessories can expose you to
chemicals including lead and lead compounds, which are known to the State of California to

8.2 Safety Labels and Locaons
Warning labels have been placed on the vehicle for your protecon. They may be located inside
the driver side sun visor, or on the ceiling of the cabin, and clearly visible to the driver. GVWR
safety labels may also be found in the payload area in some configuraons. Read and follow the
instrucons of the labels on the vehicle carefully. If any of the labels depicted in this Manual
