11 BATTERY PACK USE AND HANDLING
11.1 Baery Handling Precauons
Do not work in or near the baery compartment or on any other electrical
component of the vehicle while charging the baeries.
Only Ayro Authorized Service Representaves should perform any baery
maintenance.
Emergency Responders: To disconnect the vehicle's electrical system,
always unplug the Manual Service Disconnect on the main baery first,
then disconnect any electrical accessory connecons, then disconnect the
negave cable from the 12-volt baery (if equipped), then disconnect the
negave terminal from the main baery pack.
Please note the following regarding the Vanish charging maintenance:
The baeries in your Vanish will not accept a charge unless internal baery temperatures are at
or above 32 deg F (0 deg C).
When the ambient temperature is at or below 32 deg F (0 deg C), the vehicle must be moved
to a locaon where the baery pack can warm up to 32 deg F (0 deg C) or higher to receive a
charge.
At temperatures below freezing, the baeries should always be kept at a
minimum of 20% state of charge. It is recommended to keep the charger
connected in low temperatures above 32 deg F (0 deg C) to maintain the
charge.
HIGH VOLTAGE will be present at the baery terminals and contactors.
High baery voltage is always present.
Do not touch the baery terminals.
NEVER use the vehicle chassis or body as a ground connecon.
