MAINTENANCE

NEVER use gasoline or cleaning solvent. These products scratch or
destroy many plascs and finished surfaces.
14.20 Cleaning Windshields and Windows
We recommend using a liquid household glass cleaner to remove normal dust and dirt. To remove
oil, grease, or road tar, use isopropyl alcohol, then wash these surfaces with water. Dry gently
with a so cloth.
14.21 Cleaning Seats
Use warm water and a clean, damp cloth to clean the seats. Tar, asphalt, and other soils will stain
if not removed quickly. For these, use a clean cloth and vinyl cleaner, then wash the area
thoroughly with a damp cloth and mild liquid detergent. Rinse with cool water.
14.22 Cleaning the Interior
Use mild liquid detergent and warm water to clean the interior. Remove detergent or deposits
with a clean, damp cloth.
Do not spray the interior of your vehicle. Liquids can damage electrical
components and circuit boards. Handle liquids with care. Do not spray
liquids directly into the center console, including the driver display and
the infotainment center.
14.23 Cleaning the Exterior
The best way to preserve your vehicle’s finish is to wash the vehicle regularly. Mild liquid
detergents are recommended. Do not use strong soaps or chemical detergents. Rinse promptly.
Dry the finish with a so, clean towel to avoid surface scratches and water spong.
Tip: To prevent spong, avoid washing the vehicle in direct sunlight.
14.24 Protecon from the Elements
Prolonged exposure to sunlight may deteriorate the exterior and interior finishes. Park the vehicle
in a garage or similar structure or cover the vehicle with a breathable vehicle cover.
