14.2 Brake Fluid
The brake fluid level indicator light will illuminate on the Center Console when the brake fluid
in the brake reservoir is low. If the brake fluid indicator light is on, the fluid level is low and
service is needed. Contact your authorized AYRO Dealer to provide service.
Always use an unopened container of DOT-4 brake fluid and
discard any unused poron.
NEVER store or use a paral bole. Brake fluid is hygroscopic,
meaning it rapidly absorbs moisture from the air. The moisture
causes the boiling temperature of the brake fluid to drop, which
can lead to early brake fade and the possibility of accident or
severe injury.
Change the DOT-4 brake fluid every two years and any me the fluid becomes contaminated,
the fluid level is below the minimum, or if the type and brand of the fluid in the reservoir are
unknown. Always use DOT-4 brake fluid.
Brake fluid is corrosive and may cause damage to painted or
plasc surfaces. Use cauon when refilling the brake fluid
reservoir.
14.3 Brake Inspecon
Check the brake system for fluid leaks.
Check the brake pedal for excessive travel or a spongy feel.
Check the fricon pads for wear, damage, and looseness.
Inspect the brake disc spline and pad wear surface for excessive wear.
Change pads when worn to 0.030" (0.762 mm).
NOTE: Brake pads should be replaced by a trained technician.
14.4 Gearbox Oil
Aer a break-in period of the earlier of 12 months or 500 miles, the gear oil must be changed.
Contaminated or inadequate lubricaon can result in scouring, corrosion, scuffing, and ping of
important drivetrain components. Fricon causes metal parts to wear down, and small metal
parcles and even shavings can accumulate, contaminate, and compromise the gear oil’s lubricity
and effecveness.
