Web server
BTL7-V50D-… has an integrated web server. The web
server is called up by entering the BTL7-V50D-… IP
address 192.168.1.1 in an Internet browser. For this, the
computer with its IP address must be in the same sub-net
as the sensor (see section(Sub)net mask on page9).
The start page shows an overview of device data such as
the serial number, version, MAC or IP address and
operating modes. No changes can be made here.
7.1 Login and changes to settings

Uncontrolled system movement
When starting up and if the magnetostrictive linear position
sensor is part of a closed loop system, the system may
perform uncontrolled movements when parameters are
changed during operation. This could result in personal
injury and equipment damage.
► Take the system out of operation before
configuration.
► Persons must keep away from the system's
hazardous zones.
► Startup must be performed only by trained technical
personnel.
► Observe the safety instructions of the equipment or
system manufacturer.
Running Java Scripts must be allowed in the
browser (otherwise an error message is shown)
Changes made in the web server may
contradict the configuration in the controller.
This can put the machine in an unsafe state.
Changes to the settings in the web server can only be
made after login. For this, select Login and enter the
Username and Password.
The username is admin and the password is also admin in
the original status. The password can be changed in the
Setup Accounts menu.
