8.4 Loss protection
The following prerequisites apply for loss protection to be active:
- The Bär SmartControl 2.0 system includes a paired docking station.
The loss protection system checks whether the hand-held transmitter is in the docking
station if voltage is present at the docking station.
If no hand-held transmitter is located in the docking station:
An acoustic signal sounds for 30 seconds.
On the docking station the red LED illuminates for 30 seconds.
The loss protection is deactivated if
- the hand-held transmitter is inserted into the docking station.
- the ignition of the vehicle is switched off.
- the loss protection was active for 30s.
or
- the blue pushbutton on the front of the docking station is pressed.
If the blue pushbutton on the front of the docking station has been pressed, the loss protection is
inactive until the hand-held transmitter has been re-inserted and removed again
