  If your screen is not displayed when pressing the Barco Digital Presenters Button, it could be because you are the fifth person trying to share content, and only four screens can be shown simultaneously. To resolve this, click and hold the button for 2 seconds to use the 'Show me full screen' function. Alternatively, the ClickShare software may not be running. Navigate to the ClickShare drive and launch the software.

Why is nothing showing on the Barco Digital Presenters displays?

  If nothing is shown on the displays when using Barco Digital Presenters, first ensure that the displays are switched on. If they are on, check that the display cables are correctly connected to both the displays and the Base Unit. If the connections are secure, verify that the display recognizes or is able to display the Base Unit output resolution; adjust this setting via the web interface if needed. Also, check the Base Unit. It might be in standby mode; briefly push the standby button on the Base Unit or insert a button and run the ClickShare software. Finally, confirm that the Base Unit is switched on by setting the rocker switch at the back of the unit to “1.”

  If users do not get a ClickShare drive when inserting the Button into their laptop, the issue might be due to no automatic refresh of drives. Try refreshing your view on the laptop, or use Microsoft Windows Disk Management to assign it to a free drive letter. Another potential cause is a bad connection at the USB port on the laptop. Try reconnecting to the USB port, using another USB port, or rebooting the laptop. In some cases, certain USB devices might be blocked due to company policy, or the USB port settings on the laptop might limit the usage of high-power USB devices when on battery power. If possible, adjust the USB port policy on the laptop.

  If you are experiencing low video performance with Barco Digital Presenters, the issue might be related to laptop performance. Try lowering the screen resolution of the laptop, disabling hardware acceleration for video, using only a part of the display to show the video, or setting the capture mode to Fast by right-clicking the ClickShare icon in the system tray. Alternatively, the problem could be due to wireless connectivity issues. Please refer to the section addressing bad connectivity for troubleshooting steps.

How to fix bad WiFi connectivity on Barco ClickShare?

  If you are experiencing bad WiFi connectivity with Barco Digital Presenters, it may be due to congestion of the wireless channel. Use wireless network scan tools to look for free or the least congested channels. Also, metal cabinets, walls, and construction elements can cause reflections that deteriorate the wireless signal. Obstructions between the Buttons and Base Unit can lower the wireless strength and quality. Try moving the Base Unit to another place in the room, avoiding placing it inside cabinets, false ceilings, below the table, behind a wall, or in another room. Re-orient the Base Unit antennas.   If video is not shown on the screen with Barco Digital Presenters, it could be because the player uses overlays. Disable the usage of overlays in the preferences of the video player. Alternatively, the content might use HDCP. Note that ClickShare does not support showing HDCP content, and it will be displayed as black.

  If the ClickShare Base Unit does not start up correctly, it could be due to a corrupted configuration file. In this case, browse to the Configuration tab of the Web Interface and press “Load Default Settings”. Alternatively, the software may be corrupted. Connect a keyboard to the Base Unit. When the boot selection menu comes up, press the arrow keys to select a previous version of the software and confirm by pressing Enter. Browse to the Web Interface and update the software again to the latest version.

To resolve this: * Use a WiFi scanner to identify a less crowded wireless channel and select it through the web interface. Tools like inSSIDer or Xirrus can help. Alternatively, the issue might stem from low signal strength. Try these solutions: * Move the Base Unit closer to the meeting room table. * Adjust the orientation of the antennas located at the back of the Base Unit. * Reduce or eliminate any obstructions between the Buttons and the Base Unit as much as possible.
