Sound is not sent out
In some Windows environments sound is not sent out. This can be solved as follow:
1. Right click on the sound icon in the system tray and select Playback devices. The Sound window opens.
2. Select Speakers ClickShare, select Set default and click Apply.
4.9 LAN connection
For the moment, only the primary network connector can be used for API, Management Suite and
Network Integration.
About LAN connection
The Base Unit can be connected to a local network or directly to a laptop. For normal operation, a LAN
connection is not necessary.
The LAN interface is split up in a primary interface and a secondary interface. During normal operation both
LAN inputs have the same functionality. During standby, the primary interface acts as an network standby and
the secondary interface is than switched off.
The LAN connection can be used:
• to configure your CSE-800 unit
• to update the software
• for maintenance purposes
• for network integration of your CSE-800 unit
• for network standby
CAUTION: Both LAN connections must be connected to two different networks.
How to connect
1. Insert a network cable with RJ-45 connector into the primary (LAN1) and/or the secondary (LAN2) LAN port.
2. Connect the other side to a LAN.
3. Configure the LAN interfaces, see “LAN Settings”, page 76.
Note
When the primary LAN input is configured with a manual set IP address and saved. Do not unplug the cable
and plug this cable into the secondary LAN input which is DHCP enabled. This situation will lead to a conflict
as the same subnet is still associated to the primary LAN input. The secondary LAN interface will go into
fallback mode.
4.10 Power connection and switching on
WARNING: Use a power cord which complies to local regulations. If not included in the box, contact
your local dealer for a correct power cord.
How to connect
1. Plug the power cable in the mains power connector at the back of the Base Unit
