Fuel Reservoir - fill to proper fuel level, clean up any spills, repair any leaks.
Hydraulic Oil Reservoir - fill to proper level, clean up any spills, repair any leaks.
Hydraulic Reservoir Shut-Off Valves - valves must be open before pumps are operated or damage may occur.
Hydraulic Oil Leaks - valves, fittings, cylinders, hoses, etc.
Clean Debris From: attachment, radiator, shrouding areas, air cleaner, pivot areas, walking/climbing surfaces.
Engine Oil Level - check for proper engine oil level, repair any leaks.
Engine Air Cleaner - check for restriction, damage, etc.
Radiator - clean out debris, fill to proper water or antifreeze levels, check for leaks.
Fan and Drive Belts Tight?
Battery and Electrical System - be sure battery is not disconnected, check for loose connections, frayed wires.
Cab/Platform - check that steps, floor, handrails, windows, controls are clean, free of debris, dirt, grease, etc.
Guards and Shrouding - secure, cleaned out, and in proper place?
Safety Warnings and Decals - clean, legible, and in proper place? (See Decal Locations)
Grease Fittings - all lubed? (see Service Schedule and Lubrication Points for daily maintenance)
Bolts/Nuts - check for wear, damaged or missing.
Gearboxes, Transmissions - all properly filled with fluid? (See Service Schedule and Lubrication Points)
Mulcher Damage - clean out debris, check for missing or loose components, cracks, vandalism, etc.
Tires - check for proper pressure, check for wear, alignment.
Attachment - check for loose/missing/cracked/dull components, check for proper alignment, clean out debris.

- Ensure that a first aid kit and properly maintained fire extinguisher are secured in the operator's cab.
- Read and understand this Operator's Manual and Engine Manufacturer's Operator's Manual before operating this
machine.
- Understand the correct starting and stopping procedures used on this machine, and the functions of all controls.

1. You must be a trained, qualified operator to operate this machine.
2. Do not operate while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
3. Remove debris and secure all loose items inside cab.
4. Enter cab using the left hand door (use right hand door for emergency only).
5. Adjust seat so that you can work comfortably.
6. Put on seat belt and shoulder straps, adjusting them so that they are snug.
7. Close cab door to activate servo.
8. Ensure that visibility is unobscured before operating.
9. Sound horn to check that it is working and to alert any personnel in the operating area.
10. Never operate machine within 300 feet of personnel or other operating equipment. Clear all personnel from area.
11. Familiarize yourself with work site: note any hazards, obstructions or power lines, note ground conditions, terrain,
and timber distribution.
