Disconnect positive and negative battery terminals
Disconnect the 3 connectors (one 4 Pin, and two 50 pin) plugged into engine ECM on left side
of engine (right side of machine). [This removes the possibility of current traveling through the
ECM grounds.]
Disconnect 14 Pin Engine Harness Connector from back right side of cab. (This is the Lower
Right Plug) [This removes the ground going to the cab electrical panel]
Ground as close as possible to the welding location. Do NOT ground through a bearing or
bushing when welding.

Disconnect positive and negative battery terminals
Disconnect the two connectors plugged into engine ECU on right side of engine (left side of
machine). There is a release button on the bottom of the plug, and then the latch rotates
90degrees. [This removes the possibility of current traveling through the ECU ground.]
