- Safety is the operator's responsibility. As a trained
operator, you should know all control functions, safety
precautions and warnings before operating machine.
Read the mulching attachment manual specific to
each machine before operating.
Although you are an experienced operator, don't
assume that this machine functions the same as other
similar equipment. Learn the differences of this
machine before operating.
This machine is extremely powerful. Operating
carelessly can cause death, severe injury or property
damage. Be concerned about safety and handle
machine so that maximum stability is maintained.
- Establish a safe work area:
- with plenty of maneuvering room.
- where ground is smooth and even.
- where there are no obstacles, power lines.
- Do not establish work area:
- in slide areas.
- near river or stream banks.
- near overhangs or excavation sites.
- near rocks that could damage attachment.
- Be aware of surroundings and work site perimeters.
- Follow a preventive maintenance program to help
reduce the possibility of costly down time.
- Do not operate while there are people in working area.
Falling limbs and trees could cause death or severe
injury. Keep all personnel back 300 feet.
- Always remain in operator's seat with seat belt and
harness on, while operating.
START-UP PROCEDURE CONTINUED...
- Run the engine at full throttle for all operations of the
machine to ensure constant hydraulic pressure.
- While moving slowly, check steering in both directions.

result.
Use the front axle differential lock button (on the front of
the right joystick) only when traction is needed. Do not
activate it when traveling over any distance because
machine will turn wide and hard.
- Move controls slowly to get the operating feel of
the machine.
- Releasing foot pressure on travel pedal will allow
machine to slow to a stop.
- Always keep mulching attachment as low as possible.
Do not travel or turn with attachment raised. Raise it
only enough to avoid obstructions.
- When working on a slope, do not move across the
slope. Work up and down the slope in a vertical
pattern only. Mulching across the slope can allow the
machine to tip over.
Also, steepness of terrain may not allow machine to
slow to a stop as fast as it does on level ground when
travel pedal is released. Use extra caution on steep
terrain.
