TRANSPORTING SAFELY
- Know the measurements of machine both on
and off the trailer. Be sure machine is within
legal limits for highway transporting.
- Keep the trailer bed clean.
- Chock wheels of trailer before loading machine.
- Load and unload the machine on level ground
using a ramp that is proper height, loading angle
and strength.
- Always shut down the machine engine when
transporting, even over short distances.
- Chock machine wheels on trailer and secure
with chains.
- Obtain proper permits for transporting machine.
- Check route for overhead clearance. Check
bridges for weight limits.

1. Drive truck and trailer to level area and chock
trailer wheels to prevent it from moving during
machine loading.
2. Drive machine onto the ramps slowly, centering
machine on trailer bed. See Figure 1.

3. Lower the mulching attachment to trailer bed.
4. Shut off machine engine and set parking
brake.
5. Place chock blocks beneath all four Mulcher tires.
See Figure 2.

6. Chain each corner of the machine to trailer bed.
NOTE:NOTE:
NOTE:NOTE:
NOTE: Chain vibration can cause damage to
hydraulic lines, hoses or machined surfaces.
DO NOT put chains over these areas.
7. Remove key from cab and lock cab door.
8. Always tape or cap the exhaust pipe outlet shut
after it has cooled, before transporting. This will
prevent air from spinning the turbocharger while
the vehicle is transported at highway speeds.
The turbochargers depend upon engine oil
pressure to lubricate the shaft bearings and may
be damaged if spun dry. Be sure to remove
tape after transporting or before starting engine.

TRAVELING TO A WORK SITE
This machine is designed for traveling between local
work sites. Whenever machine is to be driven, lower
mulcher attachment as low as possible to permit safe
travel. When driving machine on highway, know what
warnings must be placed on machine and whether an
escort is needed.
