③Disassemble the hexagon head bolts and spring washers from the water pump and disassemble
the water pump.
④Disassemble the washers and intermediate pads of water pump.
4.8.2.3 Inspection and Maintenance of Water Pump
①Check whether the water pump gasket is broken or has other damages, and replace the defective
gasket if any.
②Observe the bolts and studs for presence of damage (such as thread scratch). If yes, replace with
new one.
③Observe the water pump and intermediate pads for presence of damages (such as cracking). If yes,
replace with new one.

①Disassemble the type 2 hexagon nuts, studs, and washers between thermostat cover and water
outlet pipe.
②Disassemble the thermostat cover.
