Lining the machine – Arterial line (Section 4.2.4)
1. Remove the sticker on the outer package to record the lot number.
2. Verify that all the connections are secure before removing the
lines from the package.
3. Secure the spike.
4. Clamp the arterial line and spike the priming bag of saline.
5. Insert the blood pump segment of the tubing into the blood
pump housing (heparin line on top).
6. Make sure the blood pump segment collars are outside
the pump housing.
7. Push the blood line into the blood line guides.
