Lining the machine – Venous line (Section 4.2.5)
1. Ensure that the waste bag is securely attached to the end of the
blood line before removing the blood line from the packaging.
2. Hang the waste bag on the infusion pole, (hang bag upside down).
3. Squeeze the venous drip chamber and push it into the air detector.
Adjust the position of the venous drip chamber so that the
conical filter is below the air detector, and there is enough of
the venous drip chamber above the air detector to prevent false
alarms from being triggered.
Single Needle: Install the venous expansion chamber at
the front of the holder (section 5.2).
