Lining the machine – Heparin Syringe Pump
(Section 4.2.6)
1. Attach the pre-prepared syringe to the heparin line.
2. Manually prime the line with the heparin solution to the point
where the heparin line ends at the arterial blood line. Make sure
the connection is well secured.
3. Press the end of the piston on the heparin pump and pull it out
as much as possible.
4. Turn the locking wheel downwards until you can’t turn anymore.
Note: To be able to use a syringe with a 13 mm inner
diameter (10 cc), a heparin pump adapter must be
installed in the heparin pump. If you use a 10 cc syringe
it should fit in the adapter (2).
Important: The device must be programmed by a
Technician to use a 13 mm (10cc) syringe.
