Chapter 4 Techniques in Programming
Description of FreeStyler™ Default Applications
The following is the factory default setting and a brief description of each field.
FRICTION
Runs soap chemical pump during fill time, first 40 inches, and last 40 inches of carriage
travel. Operates city water valve during entire application. Operates top, enter, and exit
wheels (back to front passes exclude top wheel).
FRIC/RNS
Runs soap chemical pump only during last eleven inches. [This is done primarily to fill
manifold on machine and not for dispensing soap onto wheels.] Operates rinse/wax water
valve for entire application. Operates city water valve during entire application. Operates
top, enter, and exit wheels (back to front passes exclude top wheel).
OB DRYER
Operates dryer output during entire application. Activates special features for on-board
dryer. This includes concentrator output and spinning top wheel and dryer motors are
winding up to speed.
SOAP
Operates both soap chemical pump output and soap water/air output during entire
application. Operates city water valve during entire application. Front distance is 132
inches. This allows rapid speed for first 132 inches when front speed increased.
SOAP/F-CTA
Operates both soap chemical pump output and soap water/air output during entire
application. Operates city water valve during entire application. Operates CTA output from
position 22 to 40 regardless of direction machine is traveling. The intension of this pass is
to get some extra chemical and soak time on the front rim. This is typically used in
conjunction with tire on-board CTA application that is package pass selectable.
TRI-FOAM
Operates both triple foam pump output and triple foam water/air output during entire
application. Operates city water valve during entire application.
TRI-SOAP
Operates both triple foam pump output and triple foam water/air output during entire
application. Operates city water valve during entire application. Operates both soap
chemical output and soap water/air during entire application. Front distance is 132 inches.
This allows rapid speed for first 132 inches when front speed increased.
DRY AGENT
Operates drying agent chemical pump output during entire application except last 4 inches
of carriage travel. Operates rinse/wax water output during entire application. Operates city
water valve during entire application.
