a.Cleanthemainrotorblades.
b.Visuallyexaminetheupperandlowerskinsandtheleadingedge
abrasionstripandtipcapofeachmainrotorbladeforwrinkledskin,
deformation,andcracks.Ifdelaminationissuspected,examinethe
bladesforvoids.
c.Ifoneormoremainrotorbladesisdamaged,dothefollowing:
(1)Removeallofthemainrotorbladesandthemainrotorhubassembly.
(2)AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
BECAUSEOFASUDDENSTOPPAGEtagoneachmainrotorblade
andonthemainrotorhubassembly.
(3)Sendallthemainrotorbladestoanapprovedfacilityforfurther
inspectionandrepair.

(4)Disassemble,clean,anddoadetailedinspectionofthemainrotor
hubassembly.
d.Ifnodamageisfoundonanymainrotorblade,themainrotorblades
areserviceable.
3.Doavisualinspectionofthemainrotorhubassemblyasfollows:
a.Visuallyexaminethemainrotorhubassemblyforcondition.
b.Ifthemainrotorhubassemblyisdamaged,dothefollowing:
(1)Removethemainrotorhubassembly.
(2)AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
BECAUSEOFASUDDENSTOPPAGEtagonthemainrotorhub
assembly.
(3)Disassemble,clean,anddoadetailedinspectionofthemainrotor
hubassembly.
c.Ifnodamageisfoundonthemainrotorhubassembly,themainrotor
hubassemblyisserviceable.
4.Doavisualinspectionoftherotatingcontrolsasfollows:
a.Visuallyexaminethepitchlinkassembliesforcondition.Ifreplacement
ofabentorbrokenpitchlinkisnecessary,dothefollowing:
(1)Removeanddiscardallthecontrolboltsfromthehydraulicservo
actuatorstothegripassemblies.
(2)Removetheswashplateandsupportassembly.
(3)AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
BECAUSEOFASUDDENSTOPPAGEtagontheswashplateand
supportassembly.

(4)Remove,clean,anddoadetailedinspectionoftheswashplateand
supportassembly.
b.Visuallyexaminethepitchhornofthegripassembliesforcondition.
Ifreplacementofagripassemblyisnecessarybecauseofabroken
pitchhorn,dothefollowing:
(1)Removeanddiscardallthecontrolboltsfromthehydraulicservo
actuatorstothegripassemblies.
(2)Removetheswashplateandsupportassembly.
(3)AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
BECAUSEOFASUDDENSTOPPAGEtagontheswashplateand
supportassembly.
(4)Disassemble,clean,anddoadetailedinspectionoftheswashplate
andsupportassembly.
