BECAUSEOFASUDDENSTOPPAGEtagontheswashplateand
supportassembly.
(4)Disassemble,clean,anddoadetailedinspectionoftheswashplate
andsupportassembly.
d.Ifnoneoftheabovedamageisfound,theswashplateandsupport
assemblyisserviceable.

oftheTotalIndicatedRunout(TIR)toexaminethemastassemblyfor
torsionalyielding.
NOTE
RefertoGeneralInformationLetter(IL)GEN-04-98fortheappli-
cableshippinginformationandtoobtainaReturnMaterialAutho-
rization(RMA)number.
b.IfthemastassemblyisoutsidetheTIRlimits,sendthemastassembly
toBellforconrmationofthetorsionalyielding.Uponconrmation,do
thefollowing:
(1)Discardthemastassembly.
(2)Discardtheengine-to-transmissiondriveshafts.
(3)Removethetransmissionassembly,verticalLiquidInertialVibration
Eliminator(LIVE)mounts,andpitchrestraintspringassemblies.
(4)AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
BECAUSEOFASUDDENSTOPPAGEtagonthetransmission
assembly,verticalLIVEmounts,andpitchrestraintspringassemblies.

(5)Sendthetransmissionassemblytoanapprovedrepairfacilityto
