RUNNING IN THE VEHICLE
The running in period is very important
for the reliability and duration of the vehi-
cle. Follow the instructions
with care:
During the first 1500 km, never re-
quest the maximum performance
from the engine; do not allow it to run
for long periods over 6000 rpm; avoid
long distances at high speeds and
uphill, above all with a passenger.
From 1000 to 1500 km, do not run the
engine above 8000 rpm for long peri-
ods.
After 1500 km, gradually increase
speeds to arrive at maximum perfor-
mance.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Make sure to change the engine oil
after the first 1000 Km.
During the test run, the engine needs
to settle and finding the correct torque
for the different elements, it may be
normal for there to be higher oil con-
sumption than normal and to make
check more often of the oil level than
stated in the vehicle maintenance ta-
ble.
Maintain the engine running speed
outside the red area on the rev coun-
ter.
In case of engine trouble during the
running in period, immediately check
the vehicle at a Benelli. dealer.
Parking
Get off from the left side of the vehicle
and take out the side stand.
Always park the motorcycle on flat
surfaces and where it will not obstruct
traffic. The vehicle may fall if parked
on an uneven or fragile surface.
Lock the steering and remove the
key.
Make sure that the steering is proper-
ly blocked.
Parking tips
Exposure to the sun's rays, producing a
good deal of heat in some cases, may
damage instruments or paintwork and
plastic. Small things may avoid this prob-
lem:
If possible, do not park the vehicle in
direct sunlight.
