8.3.2.1 Check rim shimmy
Rotate the wheel by hand and measure the
eccentricity ratio with a dial indicator.
Limit for use:
Vertically: replacement when beyond 2.0mm.
Horizontally: replacement when beyond 2.0mm.
When the rear wheel shimmy exceeds the limit,
the rear wheel bearing is loose, which causes
a shimmy. Check and replace the rear wheel bearings.
8.3.3 Installation
Install the rear wheel in reverse order and lock nuts.
