1 General Information on the HART

Communicator Volume 3
From this menu you may directly select the item LIVE DISPLAY for
online display of the measured values. The measured data are den-
sity values only when the probe is calibrated and its parameters
have been set.
The Communicator may be turned off or disconnected only upon
completion of a possible parameter change with the Uni-Probe.
1.2 Working with the HART
®
Communica-
tor
Operation of the Communicator is quite simple:
• Use the buttons and to select a menu item and then
push . Alternatively, you may also push the number on the
numerical field that is indicated in front of most menu items to
select the menu item directly.
• Use the softkeys F1 to F4 to change information or data: Above
the buttons you see the function that is currently valid, e.g.
SAVE, ABORT, OK, ENTER or SEND. Push HOME to return to the
Start menu (see section "2.3 Start Menu", page 3–194).
• Use the numerical field to enter numbers. With these keys you
may also enter text for some menu items by pushing the
respective numerical key several times.
