Setting Desired Beer Temperature
Bear in mind that it can take around 15 hours for beer at a temperature of 22 – 24°C to
cool down to 2 – 10 °C in the beer pump. We therefore recommend that you precool the
beer in the fridge.
The optimum drinking temperature is around 6 – 8°C. Heavy frothing may occur with
warmer beer.
The temperature can be displayed both in °C and in °F. To switch between the
two displays, hold down the + button below the display for a few seconds.
1. After switching on the beer pump (switch position I), the current temperature of the
beer is shown on the display and the device begins to cool the beer down to a preset
temperature (target temperature).
2. If you press the + button below the display for a short time, this target temperature
is shown for a few seconds. After this, the actual beer temperature appears again.
3. To change the target temperature, press the – button be-
low the display and then straight away the – or + button,
depending on whether the temperature is to be lowered
or increased. The temperature range available to choose
from is between 2 and 12°C (or 36°F and 54°F). If no but-
tons are pressed for a few seconds, the display reverts
back to the actual beer temperature. The target tempera-
ture which you chose most recently is activated when the
device is switched on.
4. Six target temperatures are stored in the device. If you keep the – button pressed
down, the six target temperatures are shown one after the other. If you want to acti-
vate the temperature currently displayed, let go of the – button. This means that you
can quickly switch between different target temperatures depending on the type of
beer.
Drawing Beer
CAUTION!
Never switch off the beer pump if a beer keg containing beer is located inside it! The
freshness and preservation of the beer is only guaranteed if the device is switched
on, i.e. the cooling system is switched on!
Never remove the tapping sword or the carbonated keg adapter from the keg when
it is not empty and is still pressurised! Empty the beer keg completely beforehand.
Make sure that the pressure regulator is always in the – position when no beer is be-
ing drawn. Only turn it in the + direction if there is not enough pressure when drawing
beer (see below).
Clean the beer pump after each use to prevent the formation of germs. For this, read
the instructions in the "Cleaning" chapter.
