Troubleshooting
If the device is not working properly, please check fi rst of all whether you are able to rec-
tify a problem yourself. Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem Possible cause Remedy
The beer
pump does
not work.
Is the On/Off switch in posi-
tion 0?
Move the On/Off switch to the I posi-
tion to switch on the device.
Is the mains plug correctly
inserted into the socket?
Check whether the mains plug is fi tted
correctly in the socket.
Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
Has the fuse of your mains
connection been activated?
Check the fuse of your mains connec-
tion.
No beer can
be drawn.
Is the beer keg empty?
Check the beer keg and insert a new
one if necessary (see the “Prepara-
tion” chapter, “Tapping into a Beer Keg
and Inserting it into the Beer Pump”
section).
Is the CO
2
cartridge empty?
Replace the CO
2
cartridge (see the
“Preparation” chapter, “Inserting/
Changing the CO
2
Cartridge” section).
Was the CO
2
cartridge not
pierced correctly?
Remove the cartridge and insert it
again. If it still cannot be pierced, the
tapping tip needs to be replaced (see
the “Replacing Expendable Parts”
chapter).
Is the beer keg connected
correctly?
Check and correct the connections to
the beer pump if necessary (see the
“Preparation” chapter, “Tapping into a
Beer Keg and Inserting it into the Beer
Pump” section).
Do the lines have leaks?
Check whether the beer line and the
connection between the tapping sword
and valve unit is secure. If it is not, pull
it tight or replace the seal or the pipe-
line (see the “Replacing Expendable
Parts” chapter).
