4. Contraindications
The patients who meet the following conditions can use the device only under the special
care of physician and monitoring on schedule.
Absolute Contraindications:
Cardiopulmonary arrest, the invasive mechanical ventilation of urgent trachea cannula is
required
• Shallow autonomous respiration and coma
• Extremely severe Type I respiratory failure
• Ventilation dysfunction (PH < 7.25)
Relative Contraindications:
• Severe Type I respiratory failure
• Ventilation dysfunction (PH < 7.30)
• Paradoxical breathing
• The protective capacity of airway is poor, and there is high risk of aspiration
• The hemodynamics is unsteady, and the vasoactive drugs are required
• The device cannot be worn in the facial or upper respiratory tract operation
• The nasal cavity is seriously blocked
• Intolerant of nasal humidifier
WARNING!
• Do not use the device if you suffer from severe respiratory failure without any autonomous
respiration.
